Meet Tim O'Brien

Tim O’Brien, a Certified Investment Management Analyst, CIMA®, started his career in 2011 working on behalf of one of the world's leading institutional investment firms, providing service to investment advisors and institutions. He was a top-performer with Federated Investors where he collaborated with advisors and institutional investors to build risk-adjusted portfolios and develop goal-based investing strategies.

Since then, he has helped clients meet the full range of challenges providing effective solutions and strategies to help them achieve their goals over a decade. Many of Tim's clients have been individuals and families preparing for and in retirement, business owners, senior-level and C-suite executives, professionals, institutional investors, 401k plan administrators and pension plans. During this time, he has helped clients navigate through some of the most turbulent economic cycles in recent history. Today, Tim supports and guides clients in the management of their wealth to reimagine their own financial futures.

Tim has built a strong reputation in the region and among clients through a client-service style that blends the time-tested principles of hard work, listening and constant communication, with a deep understanding of how to leverage the latest tools and tech platforms to give clients the accurate data needed to make informed decisions. His goal for all clients is to help create a financial future with clarity and reduced stress so they can live the lives they want on their terms.

Tim earned his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Duquesne University in 2011. He earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst CIMA® designation (see bracketed text below), and he holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations along with Life, Accident and Health Insurance licenses.

He is active in his community as a member of the Cranberry Sunrise Rotary. Tim, his wife Rebecka and son live in Penn Township. Business and investing is a family affair for them. Rebecka is one of the founders and operators of the region’s leading trivia-centric event company. The two are also residential and commercial real estate investors. When not serving clients, Tim and Rebecka can be found working on a home improvement project, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
